Admissions Coordinator

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5a-1p

ARS Treatment Centers specialize in outpatient treatment of those addicted to opiates. Our clinic is one of ten locations in the mid-Atlantic region that provides specialized outpatient services through medication-assisted treatment.

Position Description:

The Admissions Coordinator will schedule intakes, complete assessments and ensure criteria for treatment. The Admissions Coordinator will secure funding for patients, who are eligible for funding, and secure and update authorizations monthly. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for orienting patients to treatment by facilitating orientation groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the admissions and intake process for patients entering the MAT program.
  • Facilitate Orientation Groups.
  • Secure authorizations and prior authorizations
  • Market program for admissions
  • Complete State Approvals and Presumptive Eligibility Applications for Medicaid
  • Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Administrative Director

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Services or Social Work
  • Must be working towards CADC
  • Three years of comparable work experience in substance abuse treatment.
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of the admissions procedure, NJSAMS, LOCI, and DAISE.
  • The admissions counselor must be organized and able to work independently and as part of the management team.
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients and staff members.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
