Position Description:
The Lead RN has overall responsibility for ensuring proper administration of medications used in the treatment program complies with the clinic policy, Federal and State Laws and Regulations and accreditation requirements. The Lead RN will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the Medication room is in full compliance with all Clinic Policies, Federal and State Laws and Regulations.
- Establishes Nursing Practice Standards consistent with appropriate regulations.
- Responsible for training, evaluation and retention of nursing staff.
- Schedules nursing staff to meet client needs and regulatory and budgetary standards. Fills in for nursing staff, including weekends.
- Ensures that medical records are in compliance.
- Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 6 months of full time experience or the full time equivalent, in nursing supervision or nursing administration in the management of addictions in a licensed substance use disorder treatment facility
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience or 3 years of experience in a substance use disorder treatment program or facility
- Ability to make independent decisions when needed
- Proficient in the use of personal computers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Successful completion of State required background check and required training.
